A tendency here as in other sites is assumption. There are both houseboys and employers willing and able to travel great distances on the basis that meeting first is essential, even before a 3-month stay, and especially before a move that could even involve quitting a job and selling a house.

For example, I met my spouse online and had to sell a house, ship the smallest amount of personal goods, apply for residency (a very, very tedious process), navigate international laws, and more. I had seen his profile in Europe and gave up. Thankfully, he contacted me and my assumption was proven wrong most recently in our third anniversary.
