To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how to write something that anyone would find interesting enough to reply to, so here goes nothing. I prefaced my post with that because, from what I understand, it pretty much sums up my personality. I have recently been told that I'm not very interesting and that that may be the reason why most employers refrain from continuing conversations with me. There have been a few that I've had really good talks with, but those have never led to anything. I don't want to come off as desperate since I have a decent life as it is. I'm currently going to school (a little late) where I make enough to take care of my bills through work study. I have a pretty decent friend group where the people are genuine. I've even been recommended for the role of student body president next school year. I just want to see if the grass is more green on the other side I guess. I want to meet new people. Where I currently live (the Bible Belt), there's not much to do and the people that are here are quite different from the rest of the world. It's hard to find someone who actully finds interest in you and is comfortable expressing that. Openly. It's not that I have a problem with guys who aren't open about their sexuality, but it's more difficult being with someone like that because we can't really be "together" in public. Also, a relationship, one where we've given each other the title of boyfriend, isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking for comfort. I want to be with or around someone who has no problem with small displays of public touch or affection. Someone who's okay with who they are but still recognizes that there's always an opportunity for development. Someone who's comfortable with trying new things. Someone who's in a different place. I understand that there are quite a few "flakes" out there and that I shouldn't set my expectations too high, but if you're anything like me or you find me interesting and want to talk, let's talk. Don't tell yourself that I'm out of your league either (not to say that I'm the best looking guy because I know I'm not). Yes, looks do matter in the fact that we have to find each other physically attractive if we want a sexual relationship, but personality is so much more important. I'm an outgoing individual who likes to have fun but also enjoys just sitting and reading a book (I'm actually about to start reading Forged in War: Roosevelt, Churchill, and the Second World War if you're interested). I love learning new things and trying new foods. I'm very simple when it comes to life, but hopefully not too simple to be noticed.
