I'd love to see the addition of a keyword search to this website. I've used the advanced search option, but it doesn't allow for all the questions someone answers to be used in a search. By simply adding a keyword search it would make finding a suitable houseboy a lot easier. Secondly (and I realize this is a bit anal of me) I've been seeing a lot of "Ask me" in profiles where people didn't care enough to answer a few questions to complete their profile. While for me this is an obvious red flag for me that the person is lazy. A lot of people may not realize how much this is hurting their chances of being selected as a suitable candidate for a houseboy role. By sending notifications to those profiles that have not been completed these guys might be inspired to actually take the time to fill out their profiles so people seeking a houseboy might actually know enough to make an informed decision.

As I am still what I like to consider a young man I have to say that I very much disagree with lumping together an entire generation as scammers. While I do agree that many of these individuals appear to be as such, I feel it is unfair to those of us who are legitimately seek to use this site. If you would like to stop these scammer I believe that simple vigilance is needed by every legitimate person who finds a scammer to report them because as much as we all appreciate Michael for starting and managing this site he is not psychic he needs to know what we find out.

I can't say much about living in DC as I only visit usually for about 2-3 days at a time, however I did see some wonderful happenings in the area when I was there. The area does have quite a few nice clubs as well as shopping centers although for a city it is quite literally short as no building is permitted to be built higher than the dome on capital hill. The major annoyance I have had while there were the constant protests just about every week for every conceivable cause marching down the streets. Other than that it seems like a very nice city with only a few areas that you probably shouldn't venture into.

As an Business consultant with a specialty in finance I can tell you that there is always some recourse when a business or person absconds with payment without delivering service. However I also understand that in most cases the imposition placed on you to seek out that recourse is usually more difficult on you than the punishment would be for the absconder. If you really would like to seek out a recourse you can call your state attorney's office and the State attorney of the state that you sent the funds to and they can recommend a course of action as each state has their own set of laws to deal with these things and Lord help you if you sent the money by wire transfer as this will automatically involve the feds (who on a good day are two weeks behind). Honestly I would just take this as a lesson and move on there are some good suggestions up already on how to handle this type of thing and frankly $80 isn't a bad price to learn that lesson for most of my client the price is somewhere around 250k
